The NFL today announced that Brazilian pop sensation Anitta will headline the halftime show at the league’s first-ever game in South America, where the Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fresh off the release of her highly anticipated album, “Funk Generation,” the Grammy-nominated artist will bring her infectious energy and Brazilian pride to the NFL’s inaugural game at the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.

As a global and Brazilian superstar, Anitta will perform some of her most popular hits for fans as they celebrate the historic 2024 NFL regular season kickoff weekend.

“Growing up in Brazil has completely shaped my journey as an artist and, of course, as a person,” said Anitta. “It means the world to be able to perform in São Paulo at the NFL’s first game in Brazil, where I can bring fans from all over the world the excitement and joy of our incredible culture. It’s truly a dream come true to be part of this moment.”

Anitta’s halftime show will feature some of the artist’s biggest hits and will be seen live via the NFL’s global broadcast and local Brazilian game broadcasts. Fans in the United States can catch highlights of the halftime show on NBC Peacock, and the full performance on NFL YouTube following the game.

“With the excitement of the NFL’s inaugural game in Brazil, we felt it was essential to tap into the rhythm of São Paulo’s dynamic music scene,” said NFL Senior Vice President of Event & Game Presentation, Tim Tubito. “We are thrilled to welcome global sensation Anitta and a cast of Brazil’s top performers to this historic event, promising fans and viewers around the world an unforgettable celebration of culture and spectacle.”

On September 1st, an exclusive NFL and Anitta collaboration will be released, celebrating the artist’s unique style and expression through fashion in the halftime show. The collaboration will be available at NFL Shop presented by Visa at Morumbi Shopping and on game day at NFL Shop presented by Visa at the Corinthians Arena.

To kick off the game in São Paulo, the league will continue to highlight Brazil’s vibrant music and arts scene with Brazilian electronic music artist CAROLA performing in the pre-game show. Brazilian pop star sensation Luísa Sonza will perform the Brazilian National Anthem, and American-Brazilian singer Zeeba will perform the United States National Anthem, before kickoff.

Two joint armed forces escorts and a combined formation of senior military leaders will accompany the anthem renditions. Joining the military personnel on the field will be key organizational leaders, essential to strengthening the relationship between both countries, to commemorate the important bicentennial (200th) anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United States.

The Packers will play the Eagles on Friday, September 6th at 9:15 p.m. local time (8:15 p.m. EST) at the Corinthians Arena.

Fans in Brazil can watch the Packers-Eagles game on September 6th via RedeTV!, ESPN Brasil, CazéTV, and NFL Game Pass on DAZN. Fans in the United States can exclusively stream the game on Peacock.

Fans can attend the three-day NFL fan festival in São Paulo, NFL Experience, at Parque Villa Lobos starting Friday, September 6th. Events at NFL Experience include a watch party for the Packers-Eagles game on Friday Night. Additional watch parties will also be held for Sunday afternoon NFL games (including the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins games) at NFL Experience on September 8th.

If you put up the Hurricane 2000 wall and Anitta sings old songs, it will be better than the Superbowl shows.
