NFL Legend Randy Moss and Chick-A-Boom Held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their Grand Opening After Signing Expansion Deal

On Saturday, July 29th, thousands of people lined up in Philadelphia to witness the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Chick-A-Boom’s grand opening, which also featured NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss. Given the expansion agreement that Chick-A-Boom signed earlier this year with the former NFL wide receiver, this is the restaurant’s first grand opening.

After coming across an ad that Chick-A-Boom was running on Instagram, Moss liked the photo. Tolliferreo then reached out to the NFL Legend. Moss made a trip to Philadelphia with his wife to taste all the items on the menu and the rest was history from there.

“I’m a chicken lover,” said Moss. “Not only was I impressed by the food but after hearing Brittany’s story and understanding that a lot of our same goals and morals align, it was only right to invest.”

In the midst of the pandemic in Philadelphia, Tolliferreo opened two restaurants. In less than four years, the company tripled in size and secured major location deals, including concessions at Eagles Stadium and the Mann Performing Arts Center. By 2021, they will have launched two food trucks as well as their branded products, “Boom Juice” and “Sky2O Water.” The following year, they announced an event catering service and entertainment division, and this year alone, they secured concession deals with six Pennsylvania universities and colleges.

“It’s amazing to go into business with a legend,” said Tolliferreo. “Not only does Randy have an entrepreneurial spirit but he is a man of his word and he believes in the vision.”

Chick-A-Boom is currently collaborating with Moss on a significant expansion that will include the grand opening of a new drive-thru location in Philadelphia. Following that, they plan to open a Chick-A-Boom Sports Club in the NFL legend’s hometown of West Virginia. Moss is also teaming up with the restaurant chain’s entertainment division to create the “Randy Moss All Star Comedy Jam.” The club will host headline acts. The deal includes three restaurant locations in West Virginia, one sports club, and two drive-through locations.
