After suffering a setback earlier this Summer, Nicki Minaj was supposed to be dropping off her Queen album tonight, but after running by some sample clearance issues last week, the album was pushed back till next Friday, August 17th instead or so we thought anyways. On Thursday night, Nicki debuted the first episode of her Queen radio show on Beats 1, and while doing so she made a major announcement in the process. It turns out Nicki’s Queen album isn’t dropping next Friday as we thought but it’s dropping later today!

Nicki said she’s jumping back on Beats 1 Friday morning at 11 EST and will be premiering the album live on air & breaking down the tracks on-by-one, before it goes live at 12 noon EST. She said she wanted to premiere the album tonight on her show, but ran into some corporate drama that stalled that idea.

“So you guys, I’ll be back at 8 a.m. (PST) and I’ll play the album by 9 a.m. before the album is released noon Eastern,” Nicki said on her show. “I was gonna play the album right now but someone fucked up,” Nicki said after confirming the new date and time for her album release. “It’s a lot of corporate drama in here.”

Right after the show was done being aired, Beats 1 confirmed the news on Twitter that Nicki would be back in the radio station to play and break down her album.
