The entertainment industry was rocked by a bombshell Rolling Stone piece that revealed the private lives of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Several people who claimed to have met Diddy throughout the years were featured in the exposé, which exposed a problematic aspect of both his personal and business lives.
One of the most poignant reactions came from Voletta Wallace, the mother of the late Notorious B.I.G. Having known Diddy through her son’s association with him, Wallace’s reaction to the allegations was both visceral and heartfelt.
In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Wallace admitted that she initially struggled to believe the allegations against Diddy. Her experiences with him, colored by her late son’s relationship, painted a different picture. However, her stance changed dramatically after seeing surveillance footage involving Diddy and singer Cassie.
“I’m sick to my stomach,” Wallace told Rolling Stone. “I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologizes to her.”
Wallace’s emotions were palpable as she expressed her shock and disappointment. She emphasized the need for Diddy to make amends, not only to Cassie but also to his own mother for the embarrassment caused by the revelations. Wallace’s deep sense of betrayal was evident as she grappled with the stark contrast between the Diddy she thought she knew and the one depicted in the exposé.
“I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that,” she added with a mix of anger and sorrow. “Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.”
