A nurse providing medical services at Tehama County Jail was arrested on Thursday after allegations surfaced of her engaging in a sexual relationship with an inmate.
The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office received a tip on Thursday, prompting an investigation into the suspected nurse’s involvement with an inmate.
The nurse in question was identified as 31-year-old Annica Pagenkopp, employed by the Tehama County Health Services Agency and contracted to offer medical services within the jail.
As the investigation unfolded, deputies substantiated the claims, determining that Pagenkopp was indeed participating in a sexual relationship with an inmate at the county jail.
Subsequently, she was taken into custody on charges of engaging in sexual activity with an inmate and booked into jail.
