Otis Anderson Jr. Shot And Killed By His Father While Trying To Protect His Mother

Former Los Angeles Ram and UCF alumni Otis Anderson Jr. was fatally shot by his father while trying to protect his mother.

According to Ashley Harding from News 4 in Jacksonville, The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it happened around 9:30 p.m. near the Forest Trails area by I-295 and Dunn Avenue.

When police arrived, they found a man and a woman shot. The man, the one UCF fans called “Juice,” died at the hospital. The woman, his mother Denise, was also shot.

Anderson’s father, Otis Lee Anderson Sr., was arrested at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, and charged with two counts of second-degree murder. He will be seen in court Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Otis passed from his injuries last night and his mother is currently in critical condition.
