Sherrone Moore has been discharged for cause, according to a statement released by the university on Wednesday. He was let go by Michigan for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
“U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately,” said Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel.
“Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior.”
Moore was let go immediately, and Biff Poggi became the interim head coach. Moore coached Michigan to a 7-5 record in his first season, which came after Jim Harbaugh joined the NFL.
This year, Michigan finished 9-3 and will play Texas in the Citrus Bowl. Now, though, it seems like UM has a problem with its former head coach. Moore, 39, finished his first season 8-5 but then followed that up with a 9-3 record this year.
Paige Shiver has found herself in unexpected college football season news. The Michigan Wolverines let their head coach, Sherrone Moore, go due to an alleged improper relationship with Paige, according to Justin Spiro.
Looks like she knows her name is trending. She quickly made her Instagram private.
She apparently works for the University of Michigan’s football staff. She allegedly does other tasks in her role, such as administration and recruitment. She had reportedly been promoted to executive assistant this season.
This situation also affects Sherrone’s wife, Kelli Moore, who finds herself in the middle of this challenging public matter. The couple has been married since 2015 and shares three daughters, Shiloh, Solei, and Sadie.
It’s still too early, but finding a new head coach would be a good starting point. Moore has issues to resolve at home before looking elsewhere.
