Peacock has announced a major renewal for its Emmy Award-winning reality competition series, The Traitors. The streamer has officially picked up two additional seasons of the thrilling psychological game, ensuring fans will continue to be captivated by the drama, deception, and betrayal that has made the show a breakout hit.
Hosted by the charismatic Alan Cumming, The Traitors pits a group of contestants against each other in a battle of wits and loyalty. Some are designated as “Traitors,” tasked with eliminating the “Faithful” players one by one, while the remaining contestants must work together to uncover the imposters. The series has been praised for its unique format, compelling characters, and stunning Scottish Highlands setting.
The renewal comes on the heels of a highly successful second season, which earned four Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. The Traitors also dominated the Critics Choice Real TV Awards and received accolades from the Television Critics Association.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Traitors and bring even more of this addictive series to our viewers,” said [Peacock executive name]. “The show has captured the hearts of audiences with its perfect blend of competition, strategy, and suspense. We can’t wait to see what Alan Cumming and the new cast members have in store for us.”
Season three of The Traitors is set to premiere early next year with an all-star cast featuring familiar faces from the worlds of reality TV, sports, and entertainment.
The Traitors is produced by Studio Lambert part of All3 Media for Peacock.
