Peacock today released a trailer to coincide with its official announce of the January 9 premiere, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, with three back-to-back episode in the anticipated third season of its competition reality franchise The Traitors,, hosted by Emmy- Award® Winner Alan Cumming.
Following the premiere, fans can catch new episodes every Thursday at the same time, leading up to the grand finale and reunion on March 6. Season 3 promises more of the high-stakes deception, strategy, and drama that made the show a cultural phenomenon.
Last season, The Traitors became the #1 unscripted series in the U.S. across all streaming platforms during its launch week, according to Nielsen. The show’s immense popularity translated to critical acclaim, with Season 2 earning four Primetime Emmy Award® nominations and wins for Outstanding Reality Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program for Alan Cumming.
The Traitors season 1 also won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program. In addition to streaming, The Traitors Season 3 will make its network debut on NBC, with the first two episodes airing January 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. Those new to the series can binge seasons one and two exclusively on Peacock.
Peacock also is introducing The Traitors Experience, an immersive pop-up event produced by JFI Productions, based in Los Angeles. In the world of the series, viewers make their way through a Scottish castle-inspired interior to take part in challenges to unveil the Traitors amongst them. The interactive experience brings to life the suspense and game of the show. Reservations for tickets are available now to the general public.
