Peacock, the streaming behemoth, has just ordered a third season of its smash unscripted series, “The Traitors.” The announcement follows the show’s first-season victory at the Primetime Emmy Awards, where it won the prestigious Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.
The series, hosted by the charismatic Alan Cumming, expertly blends Cumming’s wit with a touch of deception and treachery, resulting in a celebrity-fueled rivalry set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Scottish Highlands. Season two, which premiered on January 12, 2024, has pushed “The Traitors” to unprecedented heights of fame.
The second season, which is currently in its midseason, features exciting episodes that show every Thursday night at 6pm ET/9 pm PT. As spectators are attracted by the strategic gaming and unexpected partnerships, season one is still available for viewing exclusively on Peacock.
Season two’s star-studded ensemble includes reality TV royalty as well as recognized stars from numerous series. From Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen of Love Island USA to Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio of The Challenge, the eclectic cast promises drama, competitiveness, and surprising twists. Notable participants include Chris Tamburello, Dan Gheesling, Deontay Wilder, Janelle Pierzina, Kate Chastain, and many others.
“The Traitors” has cemented its position as Peacock’s most-watched unscripted original series, thanks to a mix of strategy, entertainment, and the magnificent Scottish scenery as its backdrop. As fans wait for the season two finale, the revelation of a third-season renewal will undoubtedly keep the excitement in the realm of celebrity-fueled treachery alive.
