Keegan Allen, a 37-year-old actor famous for Pretty Little Liars, was threatened with death by two masked men who hit him in the face with a gun and took away his watch while he was standing outside a luxury grocery store on Thursday night.

Allen later posted a video on Instagram where there was blood on his face as he narrated the robbery case outside Laurel Supply on Santa Monica Boulevard.

“West Hollywood is not safe anymore,” Allen wrote in the post.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called to the robbery scene at 9:05 p.m. in the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near Holloway Drive.

Authorities indicated that Allen had just exited the store when two men dressed in black accosted him. One of them pointed a silver handgun, while the other held a knife and asked for his watch and bracelet.

One of the men hit Allen in the face with the gun, and the two fled in a car with his watch, authorities stated.

In the video he posted after the incident, the visibly agitated actor pleaded with someone to call the police, saying, “I was just robbed of my watch outside Laurel Supply.”

“These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me,” Allen added, saying that one of them had a knife and both were wearing masks.

Allen also posted surveillance footage of two people in black hoodies approaching him beside a pickup truck in the store’s parking lot. He said that the watch that was stolen from him was a Rolex and that the robbers had left behind a bracelet and a ring, which he showed in the video.

In his Instagram caption, Allen wrote that the two young men had threatened to kill him over the watch and would have done so if not for a higher destiny.

“God said no tonight. My life for a watch,” Allen wrote.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Allen had a cut on his forehead. Fire Department personnel checked him at the scene, and authorities said he was not taken to a hospital.

However, in the comments section of his Instagram post, Allen later said that he had gone to a hospital and had suffered a concussion.

No arrests have been made so far, and authorities released no description of the suspects.

In his post, Allen also lashed out against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Newsom. Gavin Newsom said that he hoped the Flock Safety surveillance cameras, which officials have been encouraging as tools to combat crime, “can find these very dangerous criminals.”

“The Bass administration condemned the attack and described it as egregious in a statement,” the statement said, adding that no one should have to suffer such an attack. It also highlighted that West Hollywood is an independent city and that the sheriff’s department is leading the investigation. At the same time, the Los Angeles Police Department can be brought in if necessary.

West Hollywood has used Flock Safety license plate reader cameras since 2023. In July, its City Council narrowly voted 3 to 2 to keep the system under a revised contract with new data restrictions.

Laurel Supply is a high-end organic market and food hall operated by the owners of Laurel Hardware. It opened in May at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd., next to Barney’s Beanery. It joins the string of luxury grocers on that boulevard, including Erewhon and Gelson’s.

Allen played Toby Cavanaugh in all seven seasons of “Pretty Little Liars,” which ran from 2010 to 2017. He later played Liam Walker in “Walker,” which ran from 2021 to 2024, and appeared in “The Rookie” this year.
