Pusha-T talked about his and Drake rap feud back in May with the Joe Budden Podcast, when he revealed how he got the information about Drake son. “The information came from 40. It didn’t come from Kanye at all,” he said, referring to Drake’s long-time producer Noah “40” Shebib. “40 is sleeping with a woman… He talks to her daily. Five, six hours a day… and ultimately speaks about how he’s disgruntled about certain things: Notoriety and things involving Drake, and his career, and so on and so forth. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child. With that also came the trip that everybody took to go see the child and bring him gifts, and all of this information. She divulged this information.” You’ll be to find that around the 24:45 mark of the podcast.

He also responds to Drake’s claims that Pusha “wished death” upon 40 in the lyrics of “The Story of Adidon.” “I never did,” Pusha says. “I was just acknowledging an ailment.” (When the National Multiple Sclerosis Society responded to those lyrics back in May, pointing out that he released the track just before World MS Day, Pusha responded, “Oh man, wow, that’s ironic.”)

Elsewhere in the interview, Pusha admits that he would have released “The Story of Adidon” regardless of whether or not Drake mentioned his wife on the diss track “Duppy Freestyle.” At one point, he states that Drake put out a $100,000 bounty for information on him, providing anecdotes of friends that reached out to him after being contacted about the info.

Pusha also believes he still catching wins from this rap feud. He believes when Drake posted the little note on Instagram explaining the blackface photo and when J Prince did an entire press run speaking out for Drake was wins as well. He brought the latest episode of LeBron James show on HBO. He thinks it’s a win for him because Drake is still talking about it 4 months later.

The interview also touched on Pusha’s working relationship with Kanye in light of their political differences, how he sees MAGA hats as the new “Klan hood,” and more. Later, he is asked about Drake’s Scorpion album: “I didn’t think it was that good,” he says. “There was a lot of filler”
