R.L. Stine’s Birthday Celebration: New Season of “Goosebumps” Announced Alongside Key Art and Premiere Date

In celebration of R.L. Stine’s birthday today, both the official subtitle reveals and key art have arrived for the new season of the chilling anthology series, Goosebumps: The Vanishing starring David Schwimmer.

Sony Pictures Television announced today the subtitle and premiere date of the Disney-branded television series Goosebumps: The Vanishing, which is being aired in celebration of author R.L. Stine’s birthday.

The new season of the thrilling anthology series will release all eight episodes across Disney+ and Hulu, promising viewers a spine-tingling adventure filled with elements from Goosebumps classics such as Stay Out of the Basement, Monster Blood, The Ghost Next Door, among many more.

Below, take a first look at the key art for the series, including Emmy® Award nominee David Schwimmer as Anthony Brewer, a former botany professor whose scientific curiosity leads him into dark and mysterious territories.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing

Series Synopsis: Goosebumps: The Vanishing tells the story of twins Cece and Devin Brewer, who spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their dad. They become quickly involved in a ghostly mystery related to four teenagers who went missing in 1994, unleashing dark secrets within them.

The series also stars Ana Ortiz, Jayden Bartels, Sam McCarthy, Elijah M. Cooper, Galilea La Salvia, Francesca Noel, and Stony Blyden.

Created by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, with Hilary Winston as showrunner, the series is billed as a nail-bitingly nostalgic dive into the world of Goosebumps.

The release date has now been set for January 17, 2025.
