WWE legend and firebrand Saraya, a wrestler who’s previously performed within the world of the squared circle as Paige, has formally injected herself into the conversation concerning Australian-born and -raised talent Sydney Sweeney, and she’s not dancing around the ring. As a part of a passionate exchange of ideas within the “Hot Topics” segment of her program, Saraya has goaded what she perceives as a level of hypocrisy related to the way the Internet currently obsesses over the aforementioned Sweeney.
And since Saraya has never met a truth she wouldn’t clothesline, she gave the crowd a ten-minute masterclass on telling it like it is.
“She Uses Her Beauty, So What?” Saraya Stans Sydney’s Strategy
Saraya kicked off her commentary with the kind of line only she can get away with:
“She’s already controversial, you know? Because she’s always in the news for something. Because she’s a beautiful woman. And she uses that to her advantage.”
And, as Saraya says, that’s not a crime. That’s common sense.
As the so-called experts amongst the crowd of Sweeney’s American Eagle drama continue to debate, her viral chain mail dress, and the fact that she could go to the NASCAR Championships and be tomorrow’s home page of the entire Internet, Saraya dared to ask a much simpler question:
What is the reason behind people being angry with the woman for doing what the world already focuses on?
“I don’t get why people could be upset about her using her looks… because you’re a female, if you’re beautiful, use it. Use the assets you have.”
“Say it louder for the people doomscrolling in the back!”
“S*x Sells. It Always Has.” The Wrestling Star Calls the Internet Out
Saraya pressed the issue further, pointing to the absolute ridiculousness of the fact that Sweeney is being singled out for the very same behavior half the influencer industry is engaging in.
“There’s millions of women and men doing Only Fans out there. S*x sells. It’s always sold. It is what it is.”
She also reminded fans that Sweeney has a range, thank you very much, and that includes her work from the HBO series “The White Lotus” to those quirky commercials, such as her viral soap commercial with Dr. Squatch:
“People were buying it. What’s your problem with her getting her bag?
What’s the point of penalizing one woman for being the best player of the game?
Sydney Sweeney: Everywhere, Viral, Booked and Busy
Saraya didn’t merely continue the conversation of beauty. Saraya went into full-blown PR investigator mode.
“She’s definitely hit the headlines with the Variety gig and that chain mail dress. She looked terrific.”
Then came the kicker:
“What’s going on? She’s a NASCAR champion? “She’s everywhere.”
Everywhere, really.
Sweeney’s career growth includes performance at award shows, branding events, fashion statements, late-night shows, and even NASCAR-scale fanfare—all within a couple of months.
Saraya and the other co-hosts were convinced of one thing: “This is not chaos. This is strategy.”
“Whatever she’s doing, her PR team are genius. Give us a call.”
The Hollywood PR dragons are trembling!
The American Eagle Scandal and Saraya’s Final Word
The issue of the American Eagle controversy, during which people questioned whether Sweeney’s cowboy-coded advertisement accidentally used racist imagery, also arose. Saraya believed that the concerns weren’t to be ignored, but the outrage cycle wasn’t believable to her.
“Take that whichever way you want. That’s what they claimed wasn’t intentional. whether we accept that explanation or not. but it served them well.”
Translation:
It went viral. People spoke of it. The brand endured. The algorithm flourished.
And then, of course, there’s the year 2025, and that’s the one measurement that every person in.
Is Sydney Sweeney Going into the Ring? Not Exactly… Yet
Saraya ended the tournament with perhaps the biggest twist of all:
“So she’s actually stepping into the ring.”
Sweeney is not making his debut in AEW, though. Saraya meant that symbolically:
Sydney Sweeney is caught up in every cultural struggle. Beauty, branding, sex, advertising, and Hollywood. And she’s knocking it out of the park left and right. And that, Saraya believes, is worth applauding and not boycotting.
