The rapper logged into her Instagram Story to address viral allegations published by a woman known online as Maybach Mayy, who claimed that, at some point in the past, the artist was under her management and owed outstanding debts. In response to Saweetie, the accusations amount to nothing more than a scheme to smear her name.
“The recent accusations made about me are false, defamatory, and deeply disturbing. These claims misrepresent the facts and are solely aimed at damaging my reputation,” reads the caption of Saweetie. She wasn’t holding back in describing how they were related: “This person never managed me. She was simply introduced to me by family. Her motives are now obvious. I’ll let the lawyers take it from here.”
Maybach Mayy’s Claims
The drama began earlier this week after social media personality Maybach Mayy alleged that the rapper refused to pay her for services she allegedly rendered, working for her or as her road manager. Mayy alleges that she set up appearances, including one with Manchester United player Jadon Sancho for Saweetie, and was not paid.
They truly went too far by insinuating that Mayy even suggested that Saweetie used her alleged relationship with Sancho to get away from financial obligations. In one eye-raising tweet, she wrote, “Sancho after you done paying & getting tattoos of a he u barely know, run me my money.” She could not even leave it alone, falsely accusing the rapper of owing multiple individuals money and even suggesting potential drug usage and sex work.

Saweetie’s clapback didn’t directly mention Maybach Mayy’s name; the timing makes it hard to guess who it was referring to. By shifting the situation from social media chatter to a lawyer’s office, the rapper is sending a strong message that all games are off. “I’ll let the lawyers take it from here” was no mere line; it was a warning shot.
Jadon Sancho Pulled Into the Mess
Mayy’s allegations only muddied the waters further after linking Saweetie’s reportedly amassed debts to her reportedly romantic relationship with soccer player Jadon Sancho. Screenshots and indirect references to Sancho have circulated on social media, suggesting a relationship, though both he and his representatives have remained silent on the matter. So far, the soccer player finds himself in the center of a very public feud that he had no part in.

No case or papers have appeared in court so far, although Saweetie had threatened lawsuits in a post.
