Did The Israeli Government Threaten Gigi Hadid On Social Media?

The official government account of the state of Israel criticizes Gigi Hadid for sharing a post condemning the Israeli government.

“There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians,” the post Gigi shared on her Instagram story. “Condemning the Israeli government is not antisemitic, and supporting Palestinians is not supporting Hamas,” the Instagram post said. Gigi’s post comes just a few days after commenting on the Israel-Palestine conflict after Hamas launched an attack at the Supernova music festival.

The official government account of the state of Israel viewed Hadid’s Instagram story and shared a couple of their own. The government account began its series of posts by reposting Gigi’s Instagram story and saying, “Hi Gigi, the next story is for you.”

The Israeli government’s official Instagram account tagged Gigi in their next Instagram story to say:

“Have you been sleeping the past week? Or are you just fine turning a blind eye to Jewish babies being butchered in their homes? Your silence has been very clear about where you stand. We see you.”

The official government account of the state of Israel tagged Gigi once more and shared a photo with the caption, “If you don’t condemn this, your words mean NOTHING.”

Some social media users have weighed in on the official government account of the state of Israel’s criticism of Gigi Hadid.
