Prime Video’s most successful International Original series, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us, has commenced production for its highly anticipated second season. Building on the momentum of the first season, the upcoming episodes will adapt the second part of Mona Kasten’s bestselling novel series Save You, published by LYX.
Since its debut on May 9, 2024, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us has set new records, achieving the largest first-week global viewership for any International Original on Prime Video. The series quickly climbed to the number one spot on Prime Video Charts in over 120 countries and territories. This unprecedented success, dubbed the “Maxton Hall Effect,” is resonating far beyond the screen.
The series’ leading stars, Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten, have seen their social media followings soar by 480% and 3,900%, respectively, since the show’s launch. Additionally, the city of Hannover in Saxony, Germany, which serves as a significant backdrop for the series, has reported a 400% increase in travel interest, underscoring the show’s cultural impact.
Returning to the cast for the second season are Damian Hardung, Harriet Herbig-Matten, Sonja Weißer (Lydia), Ben Felipe (Cyril), Fedja van Huêt (Mortimer), Runa Greiner (Ember), Justus Riesner (Alistair), and Andrea Guo (Lin). Their performances have been pivotal to the series’ widespread acclaim and will continue to drive the narrative forward.
Martin Schreier reprises his role as director for the second season. The production team features Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, with Yildirim also serving as the showrunner and head writer. Valentin Debler remains the producer for UFA Fiction, ensuring continuity in the show’s creative vision.
