Sean Paul is ready to keep the vibe alive!

The Grammy Award winner comes back this Friday (October 2nd) with the vibrant “DIP“, which was released via Sean Paul’s own label, Dutty Rock Productions. He’s not alone this time, as Sean Paul co-produced the track with Sommer Ray, the successful creator and fitness entrepreneur who has developed a new side career as a DJ over the last few years.

Sean Paul and Sommer Ray recorded “DIP” through Dutty Rock Productions, the label Sean Paul uses to support Jamaican music, Jamaican producers, and emerging artists.

“‘DIP’ is about energy and movement,” Sean Paul noted in a statement. “When the beat hits, you’re supposed to feel it. I always want to make music that people can enjoy anywhere in the world, and this one is definitely made for people to move.”

It defines everything about the artist’s catalog and his attitude toward it. “DIP” brings all of this and much more. The song captures the distinctive vibes of dancehall for global fans of the genre.

It also shows the artist actively growing beyond singing. Being the co-producer of “DIP” is one more step in the creative activity at the label that launched a Grammy-nominated album in 2021 called Live N Livin of Sean Paul.

Sommer Ray is a popular fitness creator and entrepreneur known for creating workout-related content and taking it to a new level. In 2015, she broke through with workouts. After that, she began developing her talent as a DJ and has been active in that space since 2023. She has more than 55 million followers online, and earlier this spring, she released “Dancing Dolo” with Dainjaa.

The artist is part of a new wave of creators who can influence various fields of art and entertainment, including music, lifestyle, fashion, fitness, and social media. Here, we get to hear Sean Paul’s unique music through a modern DJ lens.

It is a purposeful step in today’s world, where creators set the rules in the music sphere. It connects the power of dancehall and reggae with Sommer Ray’s audience while highlighting her skills and influence.

Sean Paul has had a successful career in the industry for over twenty years. The single “Get Busy” became the first dancehall track to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003, and its accompanying album, “Dutty Rock,” won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.

Since that time, he has collected four No. 1 songs on the Hot 100: “Get Busy,” “Temperature,” Beyoncé collaboration “Baby Boy,” his collaboration with Sia “Cheap Thrills” (the latter song was certified as diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in January), as well as his other hit “Temperature”.

The artist has influenced a generation of new artists across genres such as pop, hip-hop, Afrobeats, Latin, and electronic music. His career shows no signs of stopping: Live N Livin and his 2022 album “Scorcha” were both nominated for a Grammy. Moreover, his other songs “Ginger” and “Burn Dem Down,” featuring Brushy One String, were released in 2025, and Sean Paul’s 2026 European tour is ahead.

The artist was given the Order of Distinction in Jamaica in 2019.

“DIP” is the next step in this connection between dancehall music, movement, and global club culture.

“DIP” is available on all streaming platforms.
