According to prison records, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s wife is scheduled to be released from her halfway house in California on Wednesday.
She had been sentenced for her involvement in running the Mexican drug cartel, of which her husband was the leader.
In November 2021, Emma Coronel Aispuro was given a 36-month federal prison sentence for her involvement in money laundering and conspiring to import cocaine, meth, heroin, and marijuana into the U.S. Additionally, she was instructed to pay fines amounting to nearly $1.5 million.
According to an official from the Bureau of Prisons, inmates who have demonstrated good behavior in federal prison are typically transferred to a halfway house up to six months prior to their release.
In February 2021, she was arrested at Dulles International Airport, which is located just outside the nation’s capital. Later that year, she was convicted of drug trafficking and money laundering charges by a jury in Washington, D.C.
During her sentencing, Aispuro pleaded for forgiveness and promised, through an interpreter, that she would teach her daughters the difference between right and wrong. She fervently requested that they not be deprived of a mother’s presence as they grow up.
Aispuro was accused of conspiring with others to help her husband escape from Altiplano prison in July 2015. Prosecutors also claimed that she, along with others, had planned another prison escape for the drug kingpin before he was extradited to the U.S. in January 2017.
In February 2019, El Chapo was convicted of leading an industrial-scale drug trafficking enterprise known as the Sinaloa cartel, which is recognized as one of the largest, most lucrative, and most merciless drug smuggling organizations globally.
Since being sentenced to life in prison, he has attempted to appeal the conviction.

Sasha Skare, 24, was sentenced to 55 years in prison for shooting Kardone, whose real name is Martell DeRouen, inside his apartment in 2021, according to multiple reports. Kardone died at the age of 34.
It’s worth noting that Skare claimed Kardone assaulted her and that she shot him in self-defense.
However, she was unable to prove this in court, as witnesses present at the hearing stated that she displayed no emotion as the verdict was read.
Skare turned down a plea deal that would have resulted in 20 years in prison instead of the 55 years she received on Friday. Kardone’s parents were relieved that some justice had been served.

Despite the severe backlash the video has received, the sisters have justified their actions by claiming that their deceased father would have found their behavior amusing.
The two sisters, however, eventually admitted their error and acknowledged that the video was inappropriate. The police have confirmed that the two unidentified girls will be charged with grave desecration and may now face up to five years in prison.

At first, one of the girls is seen setting her phone down on the ground to take pictures of the soldiers’ graves. She then raises her arms and starts to sway.
Then, her sister joins in and can be seen shaking her buttocks in front of the camera while appearing to be having a phone conversation.
This bizarre performance occurred on August 24th, when they went to visit their father’s grave in Kyiv’s Forest Cemetery.
According to reports, their father, a soldier in Ukraine’s Armed Forces, tragically died near Izium in the Donetsk region, which is located in the country’s east.
The video was discovered by the local police after the girls shared it on Instagram, resulting in a significant negative reaction from the public.
Ukrainian law enforcement quickly identified and tracked the sisters and detained them.
One of the sisters took to social media to express her regret and apologize in response to the overwhelming negative response.
“My sister and I apologise. We honor every soldier who fell for our country. We visited the grave of our father who died near Izeum. Unfortunately, it was not right to publish this kind of video, although we did not intend it. To defame the heroes.“
The sister stated that she and her sister believed their late father would have found the video and their dance amusing.
“Our actions were tied to our understanding of what our late father thought about funeral customs,” she added, “so we didn’t see anything wrong at the time, but we regret it now.“
Currently, the Ukrainian authorities are looking into the incident.

Sadly, it should be noted that this person misrepresented themselves as a legitimate real estate developer in a misguided effort to increase their credibility.
Rendon admitted openly in the statement she submitted on May 25 that her actions were motivated by an insatiable desire for wealth. She solemnly vowed, however, to spend the rest of her life seeking forgiveness without ceasing.

Eliasib Reyes, Mr. Rendon’s esteemed fiancée, has been implicated in the heinous act of fraud. In 2018, a man escaped from a federal prison in Littleton, Colorado, and was apprehended in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Authorities claim they discovered him using a “flashy” alias.
Allen Todd May, 58, had been on the run since December 21, 2018, when he escaped from the Englewood Federal Correctional Institution. May initially stole a Bureau of Prisons work truck and drove off the prison grounds without being noticed.
He used a credit card to rent a U-Haul truck from a Denver location and then abandoned it behind a Waffle House in Fort Worth, Texas, hours later. May was seen the day after his escape at his mother’s house in Houston, but a US Marshals Service spokesman told Fox 31 that the trail for May had gone cold for years until an anonymous tipster surfaced a few months ago.
The United States Marshals Service began receiving anonymous tips that May had changed his name and was now living in South Florida.
Investigators discovered May had assumed a new identity as Jacob Turner and was living a lavish lifestyle in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
In mid-May, he was photographed at a high society fundraiser and published in the Palm Beach Daily News. He was identified as Jacob Turner in the caption.
May was arrested at a Fort Lauderdale home less than two miles from the beach on Monday night. According to investigators, the house is worth nearly $1.5 million.
When US Marshals apprehended May, he was wearing a Rolex watch and driving a Mercedes worth approximately $125,000, according to agents.
