The final season of Sex Education will premiere on September 21, 2023.

Yes, the fourth season of Sex Education will be the final one, and the residents of Moordale are leaving on a high note. This season will be filled with love, laughter, tears, friendship, and new (and old) relationships.

Sex Education final season follows the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric will face a new challenge: their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis worries about opening his new clinic, while Eric hopes they won’t lose again. On the other hand, Cavendish is a culture shock for all Moordale students; they thought they were progressive, but this new college takes it to another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong environmental vibe, and a group of kids who are well-known for being… kind?! Viv is completely taken aback by the college’s student-led, non-competitive atmosphere, while Jackson is still reeling from the loss of Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an A-Level in Art, and Adam wonders if mainstream education is for her.

Asa Butterfield stars as Otis Milburn, alongside Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar, and Daniel Ings.

Emmy award-winning actor and Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy, Thaddea Graham (Doctor Who), Lisa McGrillis (Somewhere Boy), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze), actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith, comedian Eshaan Akbar, and newcomers Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean, and Imani Yahshua will join them for the final season.

Laurie Nunn is the creator and lead writer. Other writers include Troy Hunter, Krishna Istha, Selina Lim, Ethan Harvey, Annalisa Dinnella, Bella Heesom, and Thara Popoola.

The series producer is Callum Devrell-Cameron. Rem Conway is the show’s producer. Eleven produces Season 4 of Sex Education for Netflix.

“We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast, and crew who put so much heart into making every episode,” said creator, lead writer, and executive producer Laurie Nunn in a letter to fans. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, which we are very excited to share with you.” Laurie also spoke to Tudum exclusively. Her interview is available here.

In its first 91 days, Sex Education S3 received 66.6 million views (504.9 million view hours divided by 7.59 runtime).

Sex Education has been nominated for and won numerous awards since its debut on Netflix in 2019, including the top prize for Best Comedy Series for Season 3 at the 50th International Emmy Awards in 2022.
