Skip Bayless Gets Shredded Over His Comments About Damar Hamlin

Monday night football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals was supposed to be a marquee match but ended up being a nightmare for many.

In the first quarter of the highly anticipated game, the Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin tackled one of the Bengals’ wide receivers, Tee Higgins. When he stood from making a great play, he stumbled and collapsed on the ground.

For about nine minutes, Hamlin was given AED, CPR, and oxygen by medical staff. When that didn’t work, they brought out the stretcher and ambulance and transported him to the nearest hospital in Cincinnati.

Fox Sports reporter Joe Danneman gave the public an update on Damar Hamlin’s health. He says, “I’m told Damar Hamlin has a pulse but is not breathing on his own. He is being transported to UC.” There hasn’t been any other update, but he’s in critical condition.

The majority of people are understanding of the circumstances and want to see Damar Hamlin be okay, but somehow 71-year-old Skip Bayless couldn’t grasp why the NFL would postpone this game.

Bayless took to Twitter, and shared his thoughts:

I've seen so many horrific injuries suffered on football fields yet never have I seen a reaction like this. In every other situation I witnessed or covered, the game always went on fairly quickly. The attitude was, "Hey, that's football." For these players, this was DIFFERENT.

No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.
