It’s February, and Teyana Taylor is already receiving Oscar buzz after the official trailer of her upcoming film “A Thousand and One” was released. The trailer has already garnered over two million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.

The film follows unapologetic & free-spirited Inez (Teyana Taylor), who kidnaps her 6-year-old son Terry from the foster care system.

Holding onto their secret and each other, mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability in a rapidly changing New York City.

Will Catlett, Josiah Cross, Aven Courtney, and Aaron Kingsley Adetola star alongside Taylor. A.V. Rockwell directed and wrote the film. Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lebedev, Lena Waithe, Rishi Rajani, and Brad Weston are the producers. Oren Moverman and Jamin O’Brien served as executive producers.

Focus Features will release ‘A Thousand and One’ in theaters nationwide on Friday, March 31, 2023.
