There was also a large donation of toys by the social media influencer and philanthropist, Sophie Rain. The philanthropist donated items worth $5,370 for the Angel Tree’s Forgotten Angels. These are children who had not been selected and live in homeless shelters.

The process took almost five hours at Walmart, involving several carts and three transactions because the store has limitations. According to Rain, the items filled five cars.

Big donation for unchosen Angel Tree kids

In a video on her social media, Rain revealed her reason for choosing the Forgotten Angels: the children there could receive nothing.

“We didn’t just take one or two wishes; we took the whole tree,” said Rain.

“They weren’t shopping for specific age ranges and were looking for a combination of toys and educational items,” she added.

What was purchased: toys, books, science, technology, engineering, and math, and

“Rain showed the shopping process in the video, with carts full of,” and the text continued with the list.

  • Barbie Dreamhouses and accessories
  • Arts and crafts kits
  • Digital cameras and small tripods
  • STEM and educational toys
  • Slime sets
  • Picture books, such as Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar
  • Stuffed animals and other children’s toys

Rain spoke about some particularly significant purchases. “When I was younger, I could not afford the Barbie Dream House, so I had to get it,” she said.

Her team was using six to seven carts, making the aisles quite crowded. The store employees looked irritated but continued helping her as they went through the store.

Checking out and receipting

Due to the product limitations, Walmart conducted three different transactions. The receipts shown in the video indicated that the first receipt was long enough to extend across several feet.

The amount was $5,370, and Rain said it was an effort to make sure no child was left out at Christmas.

“Christmas is all about giving,” said Rain. “So, if you’re able to give in some way, please do. The smiles on the children’s faces are absolutely priceless.”

Charity work by Rain

This act of kindness comes in the wake of other similar contributions by Rain. In her video, she posted that she has contributed over $120,000 from her OnlyFans earnings to Feeding America.

The reaction on social media was one of praise, criticism, and demands for accountability:

  • “These girls deserve a lot of credit for the joy they’re bringing to the world.”
  • “This is actually beautiful, making sure no kid gets forgotten at Christmas.”
  • “I’m really impressed.”
  • However, there were questions raised concerning the publicity involved in the gift-giving process.
  • “You can do good, but your soul won’t get cleaner.”
  • “Still don’t understand how she’s famous.”
  • Some encouraged others to give:
  • “If you have money like this, go do this.”
  • “If OF models can do this, what’s stopping billionaires?”

The Deliveries Set for This Week

Rain said all the items would be distributed through local Angel Tree coordinators and shelters this week. Five cars were filled with toys.

“We could not do this without you,” Rain’s parting words to the audience.

The Angel Tree project, conducted nationwide by the Salvation Army, receives increased attention during the holiday season, when individuals and organized groups search for ways to help less fortunate youngsters. Rain’s contribution is part of the effort.
