Sonya Curry, mother of Steph Curry, is separating from Dell. Sonya filed for divorce back in June in North Carolina, according to TMZ Sports. The divorce is still ongoing and details surrounding the divorce are unclear. Dell and Sonya had first met as student-athletes at Virginia Tech and dated for several years. The couple officially married in 1988 and since had three children. Stephen, Seth, and Sydell Curry.
There was no indication that things were going awry and as TMZ notes, a reason behind the divorce has yet to be reported. The divorce proceedings are still in the process of being worked out, so it could be a while before the divorce is made official.
