Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell Heat Up the Screen in Upcoming Rom-Com “Anyone But You”

Sony Pictures has released the full trailer for the highly anticipated R-rated romantic comedy “Anyone But You,” starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell as the charismatic leads Bea and Ben. The film follows their rollercoaster journey as they navigate their love-hate relationship during a vacation in Sydney.

In “Anyone But You,” Bea and Ben initially hit it off on their first date, but soon find themselves at odds, their intense attraction suddenly turning into icy disdain. However, fate has other plans when they are unexpectedly thrown together at a destination wedding in Australia. Faced with a dilemma, they make the unconventional decision to pretend to be a couple.

The film, based on Ilana Wolpert’s original script, received a rewrite from director Will Gluck, known for his previous work on romantic comedies. Produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Gluck, the movie is a product of the first-look deal between Sony and Olive Bridge Entertainment.

“Anyone But You” also features a talented ensemble cast including Alexandra Shipp, Michelle Hurd, Bryan Brown, Darren Barnet, Hadley Robinson, Dermot Mulroney, Rachel Griffiths, and GaTa. The recently revealed teaser trailer has already piqued audience interest and generated buzz.

Following its initial release, the film underwent minor reshoots in Australia featuring Sweeney and Powell, further refining their on-screen chemistry and adding an extra layer of authenticity to their performances.

Audiences can expect a comedic, heartwarming, and slightly risqué experience when “Anyone But You” hits theaters nationwide on December 22, 2023.
