It’s a comeback for the ages: SZA’s SOS has bounded back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, as the album’s deluxe edition, titled LANA, lifts the title to 171,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States. It’s the album’s eleventh week at No. 1 overall and the first time it’s topped the chart since 2023.

The R&B superstar’s latest feat comes in a holiday-heavy chart week, in which she outperformed seasonal favorites from several legends. Michael Bublé landed in second place with 97,000 units earned, while classic holiday performers Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole followed at No. 3 and No. 4 with 95,000 and 83,000 units earned, respectively.

Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey came in neck and neck for fifth place, each having moved 76,000 units, but Swift took the spot. Kendrick Lamar trailed at No. 7 with 75,000 units, while the “Wicked” soundtrack placed eighth with 68,000 units.

Rounding out the top 10 were holiday collections from Phil Spector and Frank Sinatra, which moved 66,000 and 60,000 units, respectively. Notable entries further down the chart included K-pop group Stray Kids at No. 15 with 51,000 units.

This return to No. 1 further cements ‘SOS’ as one of the most successful albums of recent years and shows SZA’s continued commercial viability along with the strategic success of the ‘LANA’ deluxe edition release.
