Taylor Frankie Paul has admitted that she and Ben Lambert decided to go their separate ways after Season 5 of the show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”. According to her, it was one of the hardest decisions she has ever made.
The 32-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post on September 14, saying it wasn’t an easy message to deliver because of the emotions it evokes.
She had high praise for Lambert, mentioning that “Ben is a reminder that there are good men out there. He so was patient, gentle, kind, understanding and tried to get me out of the cycle I was in.”
Besides, she admitted that the last scene on the show was the last time they were together as a couple. “Saying goodbye in the show was the last time I saw him and deeply mourned him. We’ve gone our separate ways.”
She is convinced that Lambert will find a girl worth him. She believes he will make an amazing husband and father someday, and she wishes him someone who can give back what he gives. “I had to let him go because I knew he deserved so much better.”
Describing her feelings about Lambert, she said his presence brought her peace and helped her overcome hard times. “My nervous system remembered what calm felt like around him, helped me through panic attacks, he listened to me cry, held space, and soothed.”
She was also grateful that he supported her in her role as a mother, which meant a lot to her. “He reminded me that I am a good mother even struggling. I hadn’t heard those words in years, so it meant so much to me.”
At the end of her Instagram post, she apologized for the heartache she caused and said everyone should know he deserves better. “I’m was and am sorry for all the heartache I caused and have told him as well. I wish nothing but the best for him if you thought he was a good guy through the screen, you’d love him more off.”
E! News added that she didn’t say exactly when they split up. They also wrote that Paul’s romance with this man was shown in Seasons 4 and 5 of the Hulu reality show.
According to Reality Blurb, Paul shared pictures of her and Lambert cuddling, a bouquet he gave her, and a letter he sent. They added that she made the post several days after Paul confessed she wasn’t happy about the bathtub scene they shot for Season 5.
Reality Blurb also reported that Paul’s romance with Lambert began in Season 4, before she went to Utah to shoot an unreleased season of The Bachelorette, where she met Doug Mason and became engaged. She then got together with Lambert during their cast trip to New York City, but after some time, she reunited with Mortensen.
Also, E! News reported that Lambert hasn’t commented on their breakup yet. Also, Paul’s post came two days after she said she is a single woman and doesn’t want to share her love life right now.
“Sorry to those who thought they were going to see my redemption arc,” she posted on September 12th. “That has slowly just begun. I’ve stayed in, single and celibate this entire time, and nobody will have intimate access to me again unless he’s my person, and that’s a promise to myself.”
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Season 5 premiered on September 10th.
