Teyana Taylor Earns More, Iman Shumpert Requests Child Support Re-Evaluation in Ongoing Divorce

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s divorce takes another turn as finances become a point of contention. TMZ obtained court documents that reveal Iman Shumpert is requesting a re-evaluation of his child support payments, citing a significant difference in income between him and his ex-wife.

While the initial shock of their split has subsided, the complexities of their uncoupling continue to unfold in court. The newly obtained documents show a stark contrast in their current earnings. Teyana’s pre-tax monthly income sits nearly double Iman’s, with hers listed at $93,885 compared to his $47,981.

This situation flips the script on claims Teyana made in her initial divorce filing. She reportedly alleged Iman harbored jealousy towards her success despite his presumably higher earnings as a professional basketball player. However, with Iman no longer playing in the NBA since 2021, it appears those earnings have dwindled.

According to the documents, Iman currently fulfills his obligation of $8,000 per month for child support for their two children. He reportedly remains willing to cover major medical expenses but seeks a court-ordered reevaluation of the monthly payments due to the significant income gap. It remains to be seen if the court will side with Iman’s request, but this development adds another layer of complexity to their ongoing divorce proceedings.
