Andor, the Star Wars Spinoff is here!! A prequel to the movie Rouge One, Andor is heading to Disney+ and giving us an insight into the story and journey of Cassian Andor. Written and executive produced by Tony Gilmore, the 12 episodes will be different and not like anything else from the Star Wars franchise.

Speaking with the new series cast, they all echoed the same sentiment: Tony Gilmore’s version is brilliant and like no other. The ‘Andor cast revealed something they all loved about working with Tony! I chatted with Fiona Sha (Maarva), Kyle Soller(Syril), Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen), and Rogue One alum Genevieve O’Reilly(Mon Mothma) about their upcoming roles and what it was like to now be a part of the Star Wars galaxy.

Andor takes place five years before Diego Luna’s character ( Cassian Andor) events leading up to the Rouge one Film. Each cast member I talked to also expressed how they think Star War fans will love this version because you get stories and a peek into some of the lives of your favorite characters.  Star Wars fans hold their franchise close to their heart ( as they should because who else can say that art spanning over 50 years has changed their lives the way Star had for them), and if you’re not a fan of the Star Wars franchise that is something you can admire.

From the way the sets looked real (the cast confirmed that they built the set for the series, and that was their favorite part about shooting) to the way the stories are outlined. I enjoyed everything about the new upcoming show!

Actress Adria Arjona pointed out that though she was a huge Star Wars fan before taking on her new role, you don’t have to be to watch and enjoy Andor.

Andor will premiere on Disney + on September 21st.
