The Exonerated 5 join Ava DuVernay at the Emmys

Korey Wise, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana, Antron McCray and Yusef Salaam, the subjects of Ava DuVernay’s Netflix miniseries When They See Us, joined her on the purple carpet at the Emmys on Sunday.

When They See Us is nominated for 16 Emmys and hopefully will bring home a majority of those Emmys tonight.

They all look fantastic. Ava DuVernay is beautiful inside and out. She looks incredible and this was such a kind thing for her to do. They all look confident and full of swagger. This is awesome.
