It all started when a video of Gabriela walking the runway at New York’s Steiner Studios, where she debuted at New York Fashion Week in October 2025, went viral, garnering over 3 million views online.
The post was captioned “Gabriela Moura – Plus Size Victoria’s Secret Angel.” Thousands of people commented on the video, many arguing that the 5-foot-5-inch model, who has measurements of 34-24-35, was classified as ‘plus size.’
“On what planet is this a ‘Plus Size’ woman?” asked one commenter, a guy, about Gabriela.
“Is the plus size in the room with us?” asked another commenter.
Some people even took it as an example of the mixed messages the fashion world sends about body image. “And we wonder why we all have body image issues. This woman is not even remotely plus-sized.”
