‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Season 2 Has Begun Filming In The U.K.

‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER’ Season 2 has begun filming in the U.K. The first season will conclude in two weeks (October 14, 2022) after the release of its 8th episode. Filming takes place in New Zealand, the same as the first season location.

The series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

Prime Video renewed ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER’ for a second season before the show even hit the platform.

The Lord of the Rings series topped the streaming charts with 1.3 billion minutes viewed for its first two episodes, which were released on the same day.
