At last, Netflix has dropped the full and highly awaited trailer for season two of its popular action-thriller series The Night Agent, which stars Gabriel Basso. The full trailer drops this morning, just on cue as the streaming giant prepares a historic first-ever livestream of NFL games in their pitch for subscribers.
The new season will drop on January 23, 2024, after the huge success of the first season. In 2023, The Night Agent was Netflix’s most-viewed series, gathering an incredible 98.2 million views in its first three months. It also topped Netflix’s Top 10 charts in 87 countries. The show has already received a green light for season three.
Season 2 picks up where Peter Sutherland, a one-time low-level FBI agent, was catapulted to the inner circle of the most secretive organization in the country called Night Action after his heroic actions saved the U.S. President in Season 1. But that only throws him into a deeper pond of high-stakes secret operations where danger is just around every corner and few can be trusted.
The central plot of the new season puts Peter in a race against time to unmask a mole within the CIA. This mole leaks top-secret information while building resources for a catastrophic plot: blowing up a bomb capable of leveling Manhattan.
Joining Basso for Season 2 are Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Hong Chau, Arienne Mandi, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban, and Rob Heaps.
With increased tension, a stellar ensemble cast, and an action-packed storyline, The Night Agent Season 2 shapes up to be edge-of-your-seat viewing-one no fan of the show is going to want to miss.
Don’t miss the explosive new season, streaming exclusively on Netflix from January 23rd.
