A woman is drawing attention online after posting an Instagram video in which she says people of color are routinely treated differently in Colorado.
Bree DelToro titled the post “The RACIST side of COLORADO no one wants to talk about!!!”
In the caption accompanying the video, DelToro wrote that her understanding of the state changed only after she had lived there.
“I actually didn’t realize how racist a lot of people are in CO until after living here. And I’ve come to realize that it doesn’t matter whether you’re a local or not. It doesn’t matter if you have money and manners. As long as you’re brown, you will be treated differently by a lot of the white people in this state,” she wrote.
In the video, DelToro described what she called her worst experience so far, which she said happened in Denver.
“The most racist encounter I’ve had so far was actually in Denver. I finished skating at the downtown ice rink, and then I walked over to the train station to get hot chocolate. So my cousin and I are sitting outside the train station drinking our hot chocolate, and there’s a staircase to the left of me, and there’s this old white hag who can literally barely fing walk. I’m talking; her back is hunched over so much her fing t**ties are touching her knees. And even though she can’t even stand up straight or barely walk, she decides to walk back up the staircase because she saw us, walk over towards us, and try to spit on us. The only reason I didn’t beat her face into the ground is because her spit didn’t actually touch us. But this is just a prime example of how you will get treated in Colorado if you are not white,” DelToro said.

Colorado has always been a predominantly ‘red’ Conservative – sadly = RACIST – state. – It’s only been In the past 15 years or so it’s dabbled in being ‘purple’ and is now strongly ‘blue’ .
