In a shocking turn of events, new details about the alleged shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion have emerged, including an affidavit from Jaquan Smith, the bodyguard and driver on the night of the incident. The documents, which were revealed on Instagram Live and then shared by Tea With Tia, detail the events leading up to the shooting.

According to the sworn statement filed in the Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District, Division 3, Smith clarified that Megan’s then-best friend, Kelsey Harris, had a gun on the night in question. Milagro from Mob Radio revealed the documents, igniting a frenzy of debate and speculation.

On December 5th, Jaquan Smith, who was Daystar Peterson’s (Tory Lanez) bodyguard and driver that night, recounted the events of July 12, 2020. Smith stated that he was told to drive Tory to Kylie Jenner’s house, where Megan and Kelsey were present. After about two hours at Kylie’s house, he received a call to pick up Megan and Kelsey.

According to Smith’s statement, Megan, Kelsey, and he left Kylie’s house at first. On the other hand, Megan requested a return, claiming she had left a shoe behind. Tensions rose as they returned, with Megan instigating the arguments.

“Both Ms. Pete and Mr. Peterson returned to the car after a few minutes,” Smith stated. “Ms. Pete was bickering, but I am unsure of the exact words she was saying. She seemed upset. The four of us left Ms. Jenner’s residence.”

Tory and Megan got into a fight as Smith started driving. Tory had mentioned to Smith that he would inform Kelsey of the situation. Megan, who appeared to be upset, requested that the car be stopped, resulting in an argument outside.

“Ms. Pete started the argument again, and Ms. Harris asked what was going on. Mr. Peterson told her that he and Ms. Pete had been dating and intimate,” Smith detailed.

Megan and Kelsey got into a verbal and physical brawl. Smith pulled over, intervening in the argument and yanking Megan away. He stated that he saw Kelsey with a gun in her hand while Tory struggled to disarm her.

“I broke up this fight and was pulling Ms. Pete toward the back of the car,” Smith asserted, adding that he did not witness who fired the weapon.

The sworn statement could have implications for the case, especially in light of Tory Lanez’s trial statements. The revelation complicates the story by shedding light on a different viewpoint on the events leading up to the alleged shooting. The impact of the sworn statement on the legal proceedings will be determined as the case progresses.
