Disney and Pixar have just released a new trailer and poster for Toy Story 5, and we get our first look at the gang again as they face off against a new challenge.
In Toy Story 5, Bonnie’s toys face off against a new rival for Bonnie’s affection: Lilypad, a shiny new tablet computer that Greta Lee will voice. She has some new ideas about what toys are fun to play with, and it looks like the toys will have to deal with technology as they try to prove their worth in Bonnie’s world.
There are also hints that we will see the reunion between Woody and Buzz as Woody decided to leave the toys in Toy Story 4 to help lost toys find their way home. As they face off against technology in Toy Story 5, they will be joined by some familiar faces as well as new ones.
There are a lot of new voices in the mix, including Craig Robinson as Atlas, a talking GPS hippo toy; Shelby Rabara as Snappy, the excited camera toy; Scarlett Spears as Bonnie; Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze, a girl who loves animals; and Matty Matheson as Dr. Nutcase, a toy who is wary of technology.
Veteran voices include John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Anna Vocino as Mrs. Potato Head, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl, and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.
Previous announcements have included Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Lee as Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, and Tony Hale as Forky.
The film is directed by Academy Award-winning Andrew Stanton, known for his work on WALL•E, Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory. Kenna Harris co-directs, and Lindsey Collins is the producer. Randy Newman returns to compose the film’s score, his fifth time working on a Toy Story film.
Toy Story 5 opens in theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
