The highly anticipated album ‘Jaguar ll’ by Victoria Monét will be released on August 25th. Monét announced the album’s release date via Instagram. “We’ve waited 3 years, don’t let this flop,” Monét captioned the video.

The ‘Jaguar ll’ release date follows Monét’s release of the album’s third single, “On My Mama,” last week. The song samples the classic Chalie Boy track “I Look Good” from the early 2000s while floating positive affirmations over blaring horns by Kyla Moscovich, smooth melodies, and an 808 and bass-heavy beat produced by Jamil “Deputy” Pierr and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman.

“On My Mama” is the soundtrack to positive affirmations!” says Monét. “Singing the lyrics about yourself will change your frequency and elevate a positive mental state. The words speak not only to physical features but to a feeling too because I believe when you feel good, you look even better! Give yourself the words you need to hear because it’s true – you look good! There’s no one like you and that’s on ya mama. Enjoy being yourself witcha fine ass!”

Monét also released “Party Girls,” which featured Buju Banton, a dancehall legend. Victoria’s performance in the Sean Bankhead choreographed “Party Girls” music video drew an incredible response, leading to her trending for several days and reaching the YouTube Trending Top 15.

She also released “Smoke” with Lucky Daye, which was well-received by critics. All three singles herald the start of a new era for Victoria Monét, bringing an end to the long-awaited hiatus since her much-anticipated 2020 solo project, JAGUAR.

Following the JAGUAR era, Monét turned up the heat with a string of releases that included collaborations with Kehlani and, most recently, a Spotify single with Bryson Tiller.

Additional tracks “F.U.C.K.” and “COASTIN” expanded on the JAGUAR sound and emphasized it’s staying power with impressive visuals set in Monét’s signature brown tones and 70s influences. She’s also gone viral on social media with the #SomeCutChallenge and is currently running an open verse challenge for her hit song “We Might Even Be Falling In Love.”

Monét recently sold out HER FIRST-EVER HEADLINING SHOW IN LOS ANGELES AT THE EL REY THEATRE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SPOTIFY AND GOLDEN VOICE – which sold out in less than one minute – and will be participating in a fireside chat with fellow superstar KELLY ROWLAND at CULTURECON LA on June 17th.
