From Instagram influencer to overnight sensation, Sydney Thomas has transformed her career trajectory in a matter of weeks following her appearance as a ring girl at the highly anticipated Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson boxing match at AT&T Stadium.
The famous ring girl, who already maintained a notable social media presence, saw her Instagram following surge by nearly 600,000 after going viral at the event. Major media outlets, including Fox News Digital and People Magazine, have scrambled to feature Thomas in interviews, while sporting events such as Las Vegas Raiders games have sought her presence.
The social media star’s influence continues to grow. On Saturday afternoon, Thomas made waves at an NBA game between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks, where she was photographed courtside in an elegant black dress.
The Hawks’ official X account shared her photo with a simple “Hey” caption, prompting an outpouring of admiration from NBA fans on social media.
Recently single, Thomas has been open about her personal life. “I literally broke up with my boyfriend and had no problems with him at all. He was great,” she revealed. “This was right before summer. I just broke up with him because I was like ‘I just need/want more time with myself. I just need to discover who I am, I want to be alone. I want to just focus on myself.'”
As for her future aspirations, Thomas remains open to various opportunities while maintaining ties to her ring girl roots. She recently appeared at a Most Valuable Prospects 10 event in Orlando, demonstrating her commitment to the boxing scene. However, she’s also setting her sights on new horizons, including a potential Sports Illustrated Swimsuit appearance.
“There have been a lot of conversations around that. I have a few people that have been in contact,” Thomas shared. “I would love to do it. I think since it’s been a goal of mine, a small milestone, I would love to do it. Hopefully, that can be a thing. We’ll see.”
