Voting Rights Activist Stacey Abrams Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize

A Norwegian lawmaker shared on Monday that Abrams, a US voting rights activist and Democratic Party politician, has been nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for her work to promote nonviolent change via the ballot box.

Political organizer Stacey Abrams is being widely credited with registering and mobilizing tens of thousands of voters in the Georgia runoff election.
