Why Are People Boycotting ‘FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE’ Already?

‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ has been officially titled…

Warner Bros. has officially set ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ for an April 15, 2022 theatrical release. The threequel was previously slated for a July 2022 release.

So why are people starting to boycott a film that will be released next spring?

People are boycotting the film after Warner Bros. dismissed Johnny Depp from the “Fantastic Beast” franchise but kept Amber Heard onboard for the “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” film that will be released next year.

Johnny Depp was requested to leave the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise by Warner Bros. after the actor lost U.K. libel trial. The judge in the case ruled in favor of U.K. publication The Sun, which referred to Depp as a “wife beater” in a story about his marriage to ex-wife Amber Heard.

Even though an audio recording of Amber Heard admitting she physically assaulted Depp was released in the courtroom, the court ultimately decided to reject Depp’s case and a motion to appeal.

‘Aquaman 2’ producer, Peter Safran implied on the Deadline‘s Hero Nation podcast that they didn’t care about fans opinions about wanting to remove Heard from the DC sequel. Which ultimately has fans boycotting the upcoming potential blockbuster superhero movie.

The crazy thing is that over 1.8 million people signed a petition to have Amber Heard remove from the “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”. Almost two million could potentially boycott this film and the “Fantastic Beast” upcoming film.

Are you going to boycott ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ film?
