Last year during the pandemic we were introduced to a brand new show from Netflix called Blood and Water. It was new, vibrant and something that most of us have never seen before. Filmed and based in South Africa, the high school drama reminded me of a Black Gossip Girl and I was hooked! I think everyone felt the same way because Netflix announced that Blood and Water would be getting a season 2 !!

Blood and Water is a story focusing on a teen girl attending a private school and discovering that one of her new friends might be the sister she never met and the baby girl her parents have been searching for 17 years.

Last year for season one I had the amazing opportunity to talk to actresses Ama Qamata & Khosi Ngema who play on and off again and maybe sisters Puleng & Fikile. This year for season 2, I had the dope opportunity to talk to more cast members like Thabang Molaba, Cindy Mahlangu, Dillon Windvogel, Ama Qamata & Khosi Ngema.

The season finale of season one left us all on the edge of our seats by giving us the cliffhanger of Puleng informing Fikile that she indeed may be her sister and Fikile’s parents may not be her parents after all. Well hold on to your horses because season 2 is juicier, more drama, more stress, touching upon more serious topics, seeing all aspects of Cape Town, getting to know other characters and oh did I say…. the season 2 season finale isa bigger cliffhanger than season 1.

I can’t wait for you all to Binge season 2 because not only is it visually tantalizing but the story line gets crazier and better! It’s a must watch and after that crazy season finale, it’s a must for a season 3

Blood and Water hits Netflix on September 24th.
