The Hollywood scene hasn’t seen darkness like this for quite some time. The probe into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas has spiraled out of control into what can be described as nightmare material. The details have been so shocking they sound like chapters from a true crime novel somebody never wanted to write.

According to The Daily Mail, sources associated with the case reported that Celeste’s body was not just dismembered but partially frozen, allegedly left to thaw out in the trunk of artist D4vd’s Tesla before it was eventually found by law enforcement. The sources added that all of Celeste’s head and limbs were severed. The body was placed in a bag and left inside a luxurious car parked outside a Hollywood Hills rental property.

The sort of crime scene one doesn’t forget. The sort of crime scene one hopes to never hear about.

A Body Frozen, A Timeline Fractured

Sources speaking to TMZ have reported that Celeste’s body had decayed to such an extent because of the freezing and then thawing cycle that the Los Angeles County Coroner may not be able to determine what caused Celeste’s death. At present, only toxicological reports hold out any promise of revealing truth about what occurred.

The Tesla car had also sparked community suspicion even before the police became involved. According to NBC Los Angeles, neighbors reported that it had been parked in their area for a month. Not a day. Not a weekend. A month. The smell had finally brought this issue to life.

When the car finally got towed to be searched at the impound yard, workers reported noticing a pungent smell emanating from the frunk. When officers opened it, they were confronted with something unimaginable.

Celeste had been missing for over a year.

The Artist at the Center and a Growing List of Questions

The Tesla belonged to 20-year-old Romantic Homicide singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. There have been reports of him being a suspect but not being charged yet. The artist had been touring across America at the time of Celeste Go’s body being discovered; all indications show that there’s more to the narrative about their timelines.

Several sources such as PEOPLE have reported that D4vd has not cooperated with law enforcement yet and hasn’t had an interview yet either.

Where Is The Buzz has reached out to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office for response.

A Second Suspect Enters the Chat

In their podcasting series 2 Angry Men, the founder of TMZ, Harvey Levin, and high-profile defense attorney Mark Geragos reported what sources close to the investigation have told them. According to these sources, the LAPD suspects there was a second person involved not only in Celeste’s death but also in the disposal of her body.

People heard something similar from their source, who claimed detectives do not believe D4VD acted alone.

The reasoning for this conclusion by the police hasn’t been fully disclosed. Though Levin wasn’t given all of it, Geragos did hint about the extent of the amount of evidence they have.

He claims the LAPD has compiled an incredibly detailed timeline, using everything from cell phone data to social media activity to Tesla’s internal tracking logs.

“‘They have triangulated this to the point where they have a chart at LAPD that you would not believe,” Geragos continued. “‘They have this thing down to a timeline that is almost by the minute.’”

Levin reported that Teslas likely recorded imagery of critical importance to police because of their numerous cameras both inside and out.

However, reports about a second suspect remained unconfirmed by LAPD.

A Missing Teenager With A Complex History

Celeste Rivas had been missing for over a year. The teenage girl, who had previously been known to run from home quite frequently, disappeared for good in April 2024 from Lake Elsinore in California. She slipped into the maze of a big city where far too many young girls have disappeared all too easily.

Her 16th birthday passed. She would never see it.

Current State of the Case

At this date, November 22nd, there have been no arrests. There have been no charges brought. The most dreadful questions have yet to be answered.
