Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole, 20, known to friends as “Jimi”, was one of two men who jumped into the River Thames just after midnight on Saturday to save a woman.
The coastguard were able to pull the woman and the other man who jumped in from the river alive, but were unable to find Olubunmi-Adewole.
His body was discovered almost six hours later after an extensive search involving police helicopters and other emergency services.
