TLC’s flagship series, “90 Day Fiancé,” is back with a brand-new season that will premiere on Sunday, February 16, at 8/7c. The new season boasts an entirely new cast, including the very first throuple the franchise has ever seen, promising a mix of fresh faces and old favorites.
New Couples and Their Stories
Stevi (Hattiesburg, MS) and Mahdi (Tehran, Iran): They met through online classes to learn English; then they met in person. Now that Mahdi is moving to Mississippi, the cultural differences and his homesickness are putting their relationship to the test.
Mark (West Ossipee, NH) and Mina (Paris, France): This is a couple with a daughter, where Mark, a 59-year-old pilot, brings his model wife, 34, stateside. The challenges are very real: Mina has to be separated from her son for now while she adjusts to rural life, and Mark’s family is skeptical.
Gregory (Islip Terrace, NY) and Joan (Kampala, Uganda): After meeting in Uganda, Joan moves in with Greg on Long Island. The stress of living with Greg’s mother and his unreliable job takes a toll on the couple, and Joan issues an ultimatum regarding their future.
Meet the First Throuple
Matt and Amani (San Diego, CA) and Any (Tijuana, Mexico): After ten years of marriage, Matt and Amani have opened their relationship to polyamory. They have a very close bond with Any, who is a single mom living in Tijuana. Matt and Amani would have to get a divorce to get Any a K1 visa to come to the U.S., a huge sacrifice these three would make for their love.
Returning Couples and Their Challenges
Shekinah (Los Angeles, CA) and Sarper (Istanbul, Turkey): Following their appearance on “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,” Sarper moves to Los Angeles to be with Shekinah. He must adapt to a new life and gain the approval of Shekinah’s family, primarily her daughter, Sofie if he wants to have a future with Shekinah.
Shawn (Los Angeles, CA) and Alliya (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil): Returning from “90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise,” Shawn and Alliya have their struggles to overcome, such as a 30-year age difference between them, and Shawn’s reluctance to come out about their relationship. As Alliya undergoes her transition, Shawn struggles to come to terms with the changing nature of their relationship.
Jessica (Torrington, WY) and Juan (Cali, Colombia): After their journey on “90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise,” Juan moves to Wyoming to join Jessica and her children. Adjusting from a cruise ship bartender to a full-time father figure presents challenges, testing their relationship’s strength.
“90 Day Fiancé” returns with a range of international relationships, giving inside access to how couples overcome and face challenges in a love affair between two different cultural backgrounds. The new season is promising romance, drama, and relationship dynamics that have never been seen.
