Paramount+ has released the official trailer for the upcoming third season of the espionage series “Lioness,” which will air on Sunday, August 2nd.
Referred to by the studio as its most personal task so far, “Lioness” stars Oscar-winning actress Zoe Saldana and Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman as executive producers. The series was developed by Oscar-nominated Taylor Sheridan and produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
Season three finds the Lioness team undertaking their most dangerous task ever, expanding the story’s scope to a global one amid secret networks, foreign agents, and betrayal.
In the new season, Joe, played by Saldana, has to balance her work and home life amid the threats that loom around. Under the guidance of Kidman’s Kaitlyn and Michael Kelly’s Westfield, Joe finds herself facing opponents whose actions happen behind the scenes until they start affecting every part of her life.
Joining the cast of the third season are Oscar winner Morgan Freeman, Emmy nominee Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier, and Ian Bohen.
Also, the executive producers of the series are Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldana, Kidman, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, and Keith Cox.
The first two seasons of “Lioness” are now streaming exclusively on Paramount+.
