Ruth B. recently released her third studio album, Peace To Make, which explores the long road from pain to peace.

Cole M.G.N., a six-time Grammy winner and producer for Beck, Carly Rae Jepsen, Christine & The Queens, and others, produced the album.

Instead of delivering an answer or ending the journey of self-discovery, Peace To Make lives in between: emotions, questions, and the notion that you can be at peace without all the answers.

And the sincerity can be heard on the central song, Jealous, in which Ruth B. tells about the pain of loving the one who has already moved forward. It sits between closeness and separation, exploring what it means to know, love, and care for someone you cannot get back together with anymore.

“It was one of those songs that my Producer Cole had started a while ago and kind of left by itself because we didn’t really know the direction to take it to,” Ruth B. said of the song. “There was kind of a missing piece to it. I love the depth of this song, and how it kind of catches you off guard initially. When I’m singing, I don’t know that you catch right away that I’m jealous of the love that I’m giving someone else and not getting in return, which is a thing that everyone feels at some point.”

Here is the tracklist for the album Peace To Make:

  1. Bad Combination
  2. Best Days
  3. Peace To Make
  4. Didn’t I
  5. Jealous
  6. Love’s Vulnerable
  7. Breathe
  8. Not You, Not Golden
