Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on Monday declined to comment on whether she concurred with the remarks made by President Donald Trump about Americans who object to data centers being “backwards and poor.” She focused on the opponent’s investments in the sector and said the matter should be left to the states.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna from Florida was questioned by Pablo Manriquez, a MeidasTouch journalist, in a brief video segment.
“Real quick, what do you make of Donald Trump saying that Americans who oppose data centers are backwards and poor?” Manriquez queried.
“You know what’s interesting? My opponent heavily invested in data centers, and I think really the issue right now is what are the people of each state going to decide on what’s best for them?” Luna stated.
“What do you think is best for data center policy?” Manriquez asked.
“Leave it for the people to decide,” Luna said.
“Got it. Thank you, Congressman,” Manriquez responded.
