NBA guard Tyler Herro has parted ways with fitness influencer Katya Elise Henry, and they are currently fighting over custody of their two children, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, it obtained filings from both parents. First, Herro asked the judge to arrange a parenting plan and calculate the child support that he would be obliged to pay. He claimed that he had been providing money and assistance to Henry since she gave birth to the baby. He withdrew his filing a few days after TMZ states.
In turn, Henry filed a petition. She argued that she and Herro had been in a relationship for almost seven years and that she served as the primary caregiver and made all decisions concerning the kids. The woman also asked the court to award her primary custody.
She mentioned that she would like the kids to continue seeing their father but that certain restrictions and limitations should be introduced due to the “past behavior” of the man. She intentionally left the details unmentioned to avoid humiliating her ex-boyfriend. Neither Herro nor Henry commented on the issue. The court did not review the information in the filing.
She also noted the significant income difference between them, pointing to Herro’s high salary as a professional sports player.
They started dating in 2020, when Herro became a rookie with the Miami Heat. Their daughter, Zya, was born in September 2021, and their son, Harlem, in January 2023, according to Sports Illustrated.
Katya Elise Henry, a fitness model and trainer, has more than 7 million followers on Instagram. In 2024, she announced that she would scale back her business ventures to focus on being a mother.
Tyler Herro, a 26-year-old NBA player who became the Sixth Man of the Year in 2022, started his career in Miami. TMZ claims that he currently plays for the Milwaukee Bucks.
