IRS Issues Stark Warning to Every Content Creator After Connecticut OnlyFans Star Who Earned More Than $3 Million Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion: “We Will Find You”

An OnlyFans content creator who reportedly made over $3 million by posting content on the platform has pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges in federal court in Hartford, Connecticut, according to authorities.

Seathra Zmeena Orr, 39, waived her indictment and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Omar A. Williams, according to U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan and Thomas Demeo, special agent in charge of IRS Criminal Investigation in New England.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Orr worked as a content creator, creating images and videos that she posted online, including on the paid subscription site OnlyFans.

From 2019 to 2022, OnlyFans filed Forms 1099 reporting nonemployee compensation of $164,669.96, $801,395, $1,339,900, and $822,400 for Orr. Prosecutors claim Orr did not intend to pay taxes and failed to file taxes during the period in question.

Orr evaded taxes by operating under several business names, obtaining 12 identification numbers for the businesses, opening 11 business bank accounts and eight personal bank accounts, and making transactions in these accounts without any proper business reason.

According to prosecutors, Orr bought and used several cashier’s checks and used her business accounts for at least $1.3 million in personal expenses, including rent payments for her apartment, luxury cars, and over $110,000 worth of jewelry.

According to Sullivan, many content creators generate large amounts of money from their online businesses, but they still must pay taxes on it.

“This prosecution should serve as a warning that no matter how or where you earn your money, you are not absolved from paying taxes on it,” Sullivan said. “Any attempt to intentionally hide earnings and evade the payment of taxes will lead to serious criminal consequences.”

Demeo also said today’s plea should serve as a warning to other content creators.

“Today’s guilty plea should send a strong message to all content creators: pay your fair share of taxes, or we will find you and ensure that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Demeo stated.

“Advances in technology have allowed anyone the opportunity to become an overnight sensation and potential millionaire, but all content creators must remember that all income is taxable income,” he said. “Paying taxes is the responsibility of every American, no matter what they choose to do for work. When you don’t pay your taxes, you hurt every single American citizen by reducing available funds for schools, road repairs, and social welfare programs.”

Tax evasion may lead to up to five years in prison.

The government calculated that Orr owes the IRS more than $1.1 million in restitution. She agreed to pay at least $476,970, and the court will decide the final amount.

Orr remains released on a $100,000 bond pending her sentencing date. However, the court has not set a sentencing date yet.

The IRS Criminal Investigation Division conducted this investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael S. McGarry is prosecuting the case.
