Popular YouTuber Ms. Rachel expressed her dissatisfaction with the lack of response from the international community to the conflict in Gaza, based on findings from the United Nations, according to which children were targeted during the war.
In the video posted with SubwayTakes and Kareem Rahma, Ms. Rachel discussed the problems children are suffering as a result of the war and mentioned Rahaf, a little girl she met.
“Yeah, and it’s not as simple as like, I lost a leg, let me get a prosthetic, like Rahaf who I met, her legs, it’s cut off very high, she’s gonna need, I think, I think most people who have an amputation as a child, they need like 20 surgeries, or 8 surgeries before they turn, 8 surgeries before they turn 20,” she said.
Ms. Rachel highlighted that the problem lies not only in the fact of an amputation but also in the change in a child’s life.
“And like she doesn’t get around, like she, you know, it’s a huge thing, like she, her life was completely changed by that, and like, yeah, just, it’s just not something like, oh, you know, just get it,” she added.
Then Ms. Rachel criticized the bombing of children, schools, and hospitals, as well as the reluctance to recognize this crime as genocide.
“It’s just, why would we bomb, why would we bomb kids, and, and take their limbs, and their schools, all of their schools, and their hospitals, and then say, we can’t call this genocide, when the UN said, this is intentional target of children, children were shot in the head and chest, a lot,” Ms. Rachel said.
The YouTuber referred to findings of the report published by a United Nations Commission of Inquiry in June 2026. In this report, it was claimed that Israeli forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children with the help of snipers and quadcopters. These measures caused more than 20,000 deaths of children since October 2023 and proved genocidal intent.
Ms. Rachel told Kareem Rahma that she hoped this report would prompt action by the international community.
“And I always think, Karim, that like, when this comes out, the world’s gonna act, I’m like, oh, when the UN says it’s genocide with this report, the world’s gonna act, no, when the UN says, um, in the special reports that they’re targeting kids in a genocide, people are gonna,” she said.
However, Ms. Rachel noted that interest in the topic disappears rapidly.
“And then like, there’s two days where some of us say, hey, look at this, and then, and then it goes back to silence, I’m so frustrated, I’m sorry,” Ms. Rachel said.
